Diego by TML

A native of Mexico City, Diego studied “Sciences of Culture” at Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana. In 2004, he started his career in NYC with Alondra de la Parra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas. While touring in the U.S. and Mexico for 6 years, Diego recorded 2 albums with the POA and collaborated with several Mexican pop stars like Natalia Lafourcade, Ely Guerra and Denisse Gutierrez.

Living and networking between New York and Mexico City, his mission has been to build a network of music ensembles, dance companies and artists, keeping different identities alive through culture and the arts. Diego has worked as a producer, tour manager and cultural advisor on many international projects including the Jose Limón Company, the Manhattan Camerata, and Morgan Szimansky, as well as the Mexico Now! Festival production, celebrated each year in NYC.

His son Bruno, Diego’s little tomato, was the responsible for the serendipitous meeting with Pink Martini. In the spring of 2016, Diego met Thomas Lauderdale and China Forbes in the CD signing line in Louisville, Kentucky. Shortly thereafter Diego joined Pink Martini as Tour Manager, and since then he has be on the road with the band, taking them on tours around the U.S.A., Hawaii, and to the Sydney Opera House in Australia. He is full of gratitude and believes that the best tour is always about to start
