In 2016, our friend Iyad Qasem created new lyrics in Arabic for "La soledad." Iyad's lyrics beautifully explore the nostalgic sentiment of homesickness from an immigrant's perspective. Thomas Lauderdale opens the song on piano with an excerpt from Chopin's Andante Spianato, Op. 22.

Pink Martini performs their original song "Bitty Boppy Betty" live at SFJAZZ in San Francisco from their December 2017 residency at the venue. Written by friend and longtime Pink Martini songwriting collaborator Alex Marashian, "Bitty Boppy Betty" was first heard on the band's fourth studio album, Splendor in the Grass. The song tells the age-old tale of the strait-laced district attorney by day who on the weekends is the cross-dressing life of the party. Featuring Jimmie Herrod on lead vocals, China Forbes and Timothy Nishimoto on backup vocals, bandleader Thomas Lauderdale on piano, with a trumpet solo by Gavin Bondy.

Pink Martini's special guest singer Edna Vazquez leads the "little orchestra" in their cover of "Destino," a song first heard in a rarely seen short film collaboration of the same name between Walt Disney and Salvador Dali, originally begun in 1945 but not completed until 2003. The song was written by Mexican songwriter Armando Domínguez.

Excerpted from Pink Martini's live concert at Edgefield in Portland, "Andalucia" is a piece by the great Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, from his Andalucia Suite, arranged for Pink Martini by bandleader/pianist Thomas Lauderdale, and first heard in this form on the band's debut album Sympathique. Filmed on a rainy day in September 2021, soon after the band started touring again after a long hiatus during quarantine, Pink Martini is also joined here by pianist Hunter Noack, of the celebrated wilderness piano recital project IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild. Hunter Noack's debut album, In a Landscape, will be released on Pink Martini's own label Heinz Records on June 8, 2022. The performance also features bandleader/pianist Thomas Lauderdale, Timothy Nishimoto on cowbell, and Miguel Bernal on Shekere.
