Pink Martini vocalist Timothy Nishimoto sings "Zundoko-bushi" at Pink Martini's picturesque concert atop Mount Lycabettus in Athens, Greece. This song, with lyrics in Japanese by an anonymous soldier, first appeared on Pink Martini's 2013 album Get Happy.

Filmed live during the Pink Martini concert residency at SFJAZZ, on December 1, 2023, Pink Martini bandleader Thomas Lauderdale and pianist Hunter Noack, founder of the celebrated concert series "In a Landscape" are featured in a piano duo arrangement of the 1933 song "Carioca," by Vincent Youmans. The song originally appeared in the film "Flying Down to Rio" where it was danced to by Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. Hunter Noack's acclaimed concert series "In a Landscape" (https://www.inalandscape.org/) features live classical performances by Noack on a 9' Steinway in beautiful and extreme wilderness areas, with audience members listening on wireless headphones as they wander in areas of natural beauty.

In 2016, our friend Iyad Qasem created new lyrics in Arabic for "La soledad." Iyad's lyrics beautifully explore the nostalgic sentiment of homesickness from an immigrant's perspective. Thomas Lauderdale opens the song on piano with an excerpt from Chopin's Andante Spianato, Op. 22.

Pink Martini performs their original song "Bitty Boppy Betty" live at SFJAZZ in San Francisco from their December 2017 residency at the venue. Written by friend and longtime Pink Martini songwriting collaborator Alex Marashian, "Bitty Boppy Betty" was first heard on the band's fourth studio album, Splendor in the Grass. The song tells the age-old tale of the strait-laced district attorney by day who on the weekends is the cross-dressing life of the party. Featuring Jimmie Herrod on lead vocals, China Forbes and Timothy Nishimoto on backup vocals, bandleader Thomas Lauderdale on piano, with a trumpet solo by Gavin Bondy.
